Greetings, I am Richard 'Ricky' Palmer, the founder of Shine4U Records. As a singer, songwriter, and performer, my music is a vibrant blend of genres, encompassing pop, reggae, rock, country, and musical theatre. My roots and residence are in Portsmouth, England, which has been my home throughout my life.
In 2021, I established Shine4U Records. This was after recording a charity single titled "I Will Shine4U" to benefit The Florence Nightingale Foundation. My intention was to prevent any profits from the single being used for personal gain, so Shine4U Records was created to manage the profits properly. The name of the record company, Shine4u Records, was chosen to honour the label's beginnings. I plan to elaborate on this topic in an upcoming blog post.
The label's motto is: 'Shining a light by giving more than we receive.'
Latest release:
Shine4U Records is excited to announce the release of Richard 'Ricky' Palmer's new single, 'Lip up fatty,' scheduled for release on 07/06/24. This track is a cover of the classic Ska song by Bad Manners.
The song's catchy tune carries a meaningful message. The title 'Lip up fatty' refers to the derogatory term "fatty," commonly used to label someone overweight. The lyrics highlight the challenges and prejudice faced by people who are judged based on their physical appearance. It serves as a call for greater acceptance, tolerance, and celebration of diversity in our society.
Shine4U Records has released this single, with global distribution by Horus Music.
